Terms & conditions

The short versionBy using madmats.com.au you agree to play fair: own your designs, pay for what you order, and don’t break the site. We promise to print your mat properly and pay you your rebate when designs sell.

Who we are

Mad Mats is operated by Mats R Us Group, based at 37 Victory Road, Airport West VIC 3042, Australia.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to create an account.
You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure.
One person, one account — no sharing or transferring accounts.

Designs you upload or create

See our separate Copyright & IP Policy — the short version is: you confirm you own or have permission to use any artwork you upload, and you take responsibility for any infringement claims.

Buying a mat

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST.
Payment is taken at order placement via Stripe.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders — for example, designs that violate our IP policy or anything illegal/obscene. If we cancel, you get a full refund.
Lead times are estimates, not guarantees. We print and ship within 5–10 business days under normal conditions.

Earning rebates (designers)

You earn 20% of the ex-GST product price every time a mat with your design sells — that’s $28 to $90 per sale depending on size.
Rebates accumulate in your “My Earnings” dashboard and are paid out via Stripe Connect once you’ve reached the minimum threshold (TBC, currently held until manual payout).
Pure designers (uploading without buying a mat) pay a $20 fee per design and earn the same 20% rebate when others buy that design.
We may pause or remove designs that infringe IP, are reported, or breach our terms — with notice where possible.

Delivery

Currently delivering within Australia only ($33 inc GST for up to 2 mats). International shipping planned post-launch.

What we’re not liable for

Loss, damage or delay caused by carriers once a mat has shipped (we’ll help resolve, but the carrier is the responsible party).
Designs uploaded by users that infringe third-party IP (see Copyright & IP Policy).
Indirect, consequential or special damages of any kind.
Nothing in these terms limits the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law — those apply on top of these terms.

Suspension and termination

We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, abuse the platform, or upload illegal/infringing content. You can close your account any time by emailing us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be notified by email or via the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes will be heard in Victorian courts.
